This unique residence permit, designed for holders of Czech Temporary Protection, marks a remarkable shift in Czech immigration law. Special times require special measures, one would say.
However, only a few thousand applicants are expected to meet the criteria, according to the Ministry of Interior.
🔹Key Conditions:
✅ Extended Temporary Protection – Registration open until March 15, 2025
✅ Expression of Interest (replaces Standard Application) – Must be Expressed throughout April 2025
âś… Families: Must apply as a group (children 15+ need their own account)
   🔸 Extended family members can join – incl. adult dependant children, elderly parents (65+), or parents unable to care for themselves
   🔸 Unmarried partners are not eligible
âś… No Supporting Documents Required – The Ministry of Interior (MoI) will verify records internally – some documents (e.g., passports, birth/marriage certificates) inspected after approval during the first biometric appointment
✅ Clean Criminal Record – Checked during the biometric process (for those 15+).
     ⚠️ If one family member has a record, the entire group interest is rejected
✅ Sufficient Financial Means – The MoI will assess income
âś… No Humanitarian Aid Received in the last 9 months
âś… No Outstanding Debts to VZP or Social Security (can be settled before biometrics)
✅ Public Health Insurance – Required for an uninterrupted 2-year period
✅ Mandatory Elementary Education – Children aged 6-14 must be enrolled (this can be rectified before biometrics)
